The Gents will continue the series with a double-header on Saturday at 11:00 am followed by a single game on Sunday at 1:00 pm.
Centenary is coming off a 5-2 loss to non-conference opponent, Hawaii on Tuesday, but are riding a 7-1 league record and a 17-15 overall record into the weekend series.
Senior Cliff Shepard continues to pace the offense with a .364 average, a team-best 44 hits and 28 RBI through 42 games. Junior Alex Todd follows with a .324 clip and was recognized as Summit League's Player of the Week after batting .692 in a four-game sweep of North Dakota State last week.
Junior Keegan Acker is also hitting above .300 with a .324 and a team-leading 23 walks and a .477 on-base percentage.
Expecting to see action in the rotation for Centenary will be righty Boone Whiting (3.00 ERA, 3-1), righty David Benson (4.02 ERA, 4-2), righty Justin Kraft (4.86 ERA, 3-3), and righty Seth Lugo (5.09 ERA, 1-1).
Southpaw Dakota Robinson (3.90 ERA, 2-1) and lefty Stephen Tromblee (6.04 ERA, 1-2, 4 saves) will see action out of the pen.
Oakland enters the series with a record of 8-22 and 2-6 in league play.
Tim Ryan leads the team with a .373 clip, while Tommy Jablonski holds a .353.
Kyle Teague (5.04 ERA, 3-4), Matt LaMothe (6.59 ERA, 1-4) lead the team on the bump.
Centenary is currently leading the Summit League, while Oakland is in 10th.
