SHREVEPORT-The Centenary baseball four-game series with Summit League opponent, Western Illinois, scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled as of now due to the tragic loss of a Fighting Leatherneck baseball player earlier this week.
The Gents were slated to host Western Illinois on Friday at 6:00 pm, Saturday in a double-header beginning at 2:30 pm and Sunday at Noon, but these games will not be played at this time.
According to school officials, make-up dates for this series are pending as of now.
The Centenary community extends their thoughts and prayers to the entire Western Illinois University, its baseball program and to the friends, teammates and family of the fallen baseball player.
