The Gents enter the mid-week contests with an 8-10 overall record and are coming off a 5-3 win over Binghamton on Sunday afternoon.
Leading the way offensively for Centenary this season is senior Cliff Shepard with a .397 average, a team-best 27 hits and 21 RBI. Hitting well of late is sophomore David Perez with a .375 clip and freshman Trey McGee with a .364 average.
As a team, the Gents are hitting .276 as seven players own an average above .300.
On the mound, starter Boone Whiting paces Centenary with a 3.03 ERA and a 1-1 record, having tossed 29.2 innings and a team-high 39 strikeouts and an opponent-low .186 clip.
Reliever Dakota Robinson has been solid out of the pen, notching his first win on Sunday, holding a 2.87 ERA and a 1-0 record through 15.2 innings pitched.
Arkansas enters Tuesday's game with an 18-5 record and a 13-2 mark at home. The Razorbacks are coming off a three-game sweep of SEC foe, No. 15 Alabama and have won five in a row.
Zack Cox leads the way at the plate with a .435 average and a team-best 40 hits. Drew Smyly (1.69 ERA, 2-0), Brett Eibner (2.28 ERA, 2-2), and Mike Bolsinger (3.18 ERA, 3-0) have seen the majority of the starts, while TJ Forrest is 4-0 with a 2.95 ERA mostly out of the pen.
Centenary and Arkansas met last season as the Gents took an 8-3 win over the Razorbacks at Shehee Stadium. Whiting got the win for Centenary, while Eiber took the loss for Arkansas.
Following the two contests, Centenary will return home to host UT-Pan American on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
