The Gents (5-6) are coming off a busy weekend against Gonzaga, as Centenary finished 1-2 to the Bulldogs after winning Game 1, 2-1, in extra innings.
Centenary is led offensively by senior Cliff Shepard with a team-best .419 clip, 18 hits, 14 RBI, and an impressive .721 slugging percentage. Junior Keegan Acker is also hitting well with a .324 mark and a team-high 14 walks, while classmate Scott Pasket and senior Michael Tompkins each are hitting .300 through the first 11 games.
On the mound, starter Boone Whiting holds a 1.06 ERA in 17.0 innings pitched, allowing just eight hits and two earned runs, while fanning 22 including a season-high 11 strikeouts in his start against Gonzaga.
Throwing well out of the pen is senior Dakota Robinson with a 0.82 ERA in seven game appearances and 11.0 innings of work. The southpaw has fanned 10 batters and given up just one earned run and six hits.
Centenary and Texas College will play after meeting each other twice last season at Shehee Stadium. The Gents took both games, 17-5 and 23-1 over the Steers.
Following Thursday night's contest, Centenary will travel to Big 12 Texas A&M for a 6:35 pm contest in College Station on Tuesday.
