SHREVEPORT - Rachel Conard (Merlin, Ore.), Callie Herrington (Hallettsville, Texas), Kelsey Regan (Shreveport) Jessica Sheldon (North Little Rock, Ark.) and Jackie Victoriano (Shreveport) who signed a National Letter of Intent with the Centenary softball team for the spring of 2010 all enjoyed a successful senior seasons.
Conard was named first team all-conference as a catcher and pitcher, while also earning first team all-state honors as just a catcher. The Merlin, Ore., native also was named Clutch Player of the Year by her teammates and all-region by the local media.
Herrington, meanwhile, was a six sport letterman, while earning the Scholar Award for graduating in the top 10 percent and was selected Student of the Year. In softball she was named first team all-district, academic all-district and selected to the Texas state all-tournament team, while helping her squad to the Texas 2A State Runner-up.
Regan, who also played behind the dish was named first team all-district, District 1-5A Most Outstanding Player and first team all-city. The Louisiana Coaches Association named her first team all-state and to the East-West All-Star Game.
Sheldon took home Arkansas's 7A State MVP and North Little Rock High School Female Athlete of the Year honors. She was also named to the 2009 All-Metro Team and also selected to the Arkansas All-Star Team.
Victoriano's helped lead Evangel Christian Academy to the 2A Louisiana State title, while also being named All-State by the coaches. She also was named Academic All-State and Academic All-District, while also being named first team all-city and all-district.
