The Centenary women's soccer team was edged 2-1 by the Wiley University Wildcats in a non-conference contest on Friday evening at Atkins Field.

Shreveport - The Centenary women's soccer team was edged 2-1 by the Wiley University Wildcats in a non-conference contest on Friday evening at Atkins Field.
The Ladies (0-3) took a 1-0 lead just seconds before halftime on a free kick by senior D/MF Kylie Zeller (Denham Springs, La.), but the Wildcats (3-0-0) answered with a pair of second-half goals to claim the win and remain undefeated.
Wiley out-shot Centenary 14-10 and took four corner kicks to the Ladies' two and the teams combined for 17 fouls with the visitors whistled for 13 and the Ladies four.
Freshman GK Gracie Rellin (Haughton, La.) went the distance in goal for the Ladies and made seven saves as she has made seven saves in each of her first three collegiate matches. The Wildcats played a pair of keepers as Mariana Quijano started and played the first 49:15 while making one save and was replaced by Leah Ramirez who went the final 40:45, made two saves, and picked up the win.
The Ladies, in the midst of a seven-game homestand, face the Huntingdon College Hawks on Sunday in a non-conference contest at NOON. Huntingdon and Wiley will face each other on Saturday at NOON at Atkins Field in a neutral-site contest.
