Ladies Earn 1-1 Tie Versus Eagles
The Centenary women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-1 tie versus the University of the Ozarks Eagles on Friday evening in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Senior Night at Atkins Field.

Shreveport- The Centenary women's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-1 tie versus the University of the Ozarks Eagles on Friday evening in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match on Senior Night at Atkins Field.
The Ladies (1-10-3, 0-4-2) honored four seniors in a ceremony before the match - D/MF Kylie Zeller (Denham Springs, La.), D Madi Cooley (Natchez, Miss.), MF Aubrey Burkhardt (Bossier City, La.), and MF/F Lowrey Lain (Haughton, La.)
Ozarks (2-7-4, 0-3-3 SCAC) took a 1-0 lead at the 15:34 mark of the first half on an own goal as the ball deflected off of Ladies' freshman GK Morgan Stancliff (Pensacola, Fla.) into the net after a corner kick.
The Eagles' lead stood until the 67th minute when junior MF Caila Baldwin (Gretna, La.) scored her first goal of the season to tie the score at 1-1. Junior MF Sarah Crenshaw (Alexandria, La.) assisted, her first of the season. Ironically, Baldwin's last goal came last season (a 1-1 tie versus Wiley) on which crenshaw also had the assist.
Stancliff played the first half and made two saves and was replaced by freshman GK Gracie Rellin (Haughton, La.) who played the second half and recorded one save. Starnie Leas went the distance in goal for the Eagles and made seven saves.
The Ladies edged the Eagles in shots, 10-8, and corner kicks, 7-2. The teams were whistled for 16 fouls - nine on the Ladies and seven on the Eagles.
The Ladies, now 1-6-3 at home this season, wrap up the weekend with a match against the Hendrix College Warriors (4-7-2, 2-4-0 SCAC) on Sunday at NOON. Hendrix lost 2-1 to the University of St. Thomas on Friday night in Houston.
