The YellowJackets (2-3-5, 1-1-2 SCAC) are 1-2-3 at home this season and edged McMurry University by a score of 3-2 at home on Sunday which was preceded by a 1-1 tie at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas last Friday. The Gents aim to improve upon a 1-4-1 road record this season as their lone win away from home came on Sept. 26 at McMurry in their conference opener.
Centenary took a 4-0 halftime lead over the Crusaders and added three goals in the second half to cruise to the win. The shutout was the Gents' fourth of the season and was their second-highest scoring match of the season after a season-opening 9-0 win over Texas College.
Centenary's seven goals are the second-most in a match in the division III program era (2011-present), the five assists on Sunday are tied for the third-most in a match in the D3 era and the Gents tallied 19 points – third-most in D3 era for a single match.

Webb, who has nine career goals, matched the four goals he scored last season with seven regular-season matches remaining. Sophomore MF Angel Montoya (Kyle, Texas) assisted – his first as a Gent.

Junior D Aidan Miller (Keller, Texas) then scored in the 38th minute, with freshman MF Marco Peterson (Bedford, Texas) assisting, to give Centenary a 4-0 lead. The goal was Miller's second this season and Peterson's second assist.
Scott then scored consecutive goals in a span of 1:11 to extend the Gents' lead to 6-0 with senior F Gabriel Aragon (Forney, Texas) on Scott's first goal and junior MF Jacob Ramsey (Baton Rouge, La.) assisting on the second as Aragon tallied his first assist of the season and Ramsey notched his fourth. Sophomore MF/F Godly Ogunyinka (Baton Rouge, La.) capped the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 61st minute, the first of his career. Ramsey is tied for second in the conference in assists and Webb is tied for fourth in goals scored.
Senior GK Casey Clemo (Forney, Texas) went the distance and recorded his first shutout of the season as he recorded one save. Clemo started both matches last weekend against Colorado College on Friday, when he tallied a season-high six saves, and on Sunday in place of regular starter, senior GK Sam Brocato (Leesville, La.). Brocato is second in the conference in shutouts (3) and ranks second in saves (38) and is tied for 71st nationally in division III in shutouts.
