THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - The Centenary women's golf team shot a 369 (+81) on Tuesday, March 15, in the final round of the Cal Lutheran Invite at the par-72 Sunset Hills Golf Club to finish sixth with a two day total of 737 (+161).
Centenary knocked off Augsburg by seven strokes and beat Menlo College by 58 strokes. Claremont Mudd Scripps won the tournament with a 653 (+77)
Freshman Jessica Varner finished 12th for the Ladies, firing an 88 (+16) in the final round to finish with a total of 169 (+27). Senior Jamie Wright deducted five strokes from her first round total and finished 21st with a total of 175 (+33).
Freshman Taylor Adair finished 26th with a 179 (+37). Sophomore Toni Collaro improved by four strokes from day one to finish with a total of 214 (+70) to place 43rd. Sophomore Haley Nidey finished in a tie for 45th with a 233 (+89).
The Ladies return to action at the Centenary/Hal Sutton Invite, which is to tee off at the Golf Club at Stonebridge in Bossier City next Monday, March 21.
