Hey Ladies Fans, it's sophomore Jerr with this week's gym talk.
The Ladies had a very exciting weekend in Philadelphia during their spring break.
We started off our weekend on Friday at Rutgers, earning our season high score of 192 against Bridgeport, Rutgers, and Towson. The Ladies won beam with a 48.325 and achieved our highest bar score of the season. We reached our team goal of not counting any falls at that meet. The team has bumped up our RQS to the highest it has been in eight years. The Ladies have worked extremely hard to reach these goals.
On our trip to Philadelphia on Saturday, the Ladies had a chance to visit sites around the city such as the Liberty Bell, Constitutional Hall, and the Rocky Steps. It was super fun to be able to visit new places with my teammates. We even got to eat Philly cheesesteaks.
Sunday, we had a second meet at Temple with William and Mary. Your Ladies showed up and showed out again, scoring our second highest score of the season! We were only .025 from beating DI William and Mary! After competing four meets in nine days, the Ladies were tired, but we really trusted our training and held each other up to come out of this last meet with a great performance! Shout out to our junior Cami for earning her career high on floor and beam at Temple
Monday, we headed back home to prepare for another short week before leaving for Missouri. It was a very eventful 12-hour travel day, but we came back ready for class on Tuesday. Come support your Ladies at Mizzou for our last meet before we host MIC's.
Until next time!
