Shreveport – The Centenary men's basketball program has announced its 2025-26 season schedule as the Gents are set to play 25 regular-season games and a pair of exhibition contests under the leadership of first-year head coach J.A. Anglin.
The Gents will begin their regular season on Friday, Nov. 7 at 6 PM in the Berry College Tournament in Mount, Berry, Ga. and face Pfeiffer University on Saturday, Nov. 8 at NOON in their second game of the weekend.

Anglin, a Shreveport native, becomes the 23rd head coach in the rich history of the program and comes to Centenary from Bossier Parish Community College where he led the Cavaliers for five seasons. Dominic Percia has been elevated to the position of Associate Head Coach and will assist Anglin as enters his fifth season with the Gents.
"I am honored to be the new head basketball coach at Centenary College," said Anglin. As a native of Shreveport, I deeply understand and appreciate the proud history and high standards of Centenary basketball."
The Gents are scheduled to play 11 home games, 14 road/neutral games, and 16 conference contests – nine on the road and seven at home. Centenary's first league game at home is set for Friday, Jan. 2 against LeTourneau at 5:30 PM. The Gents are 48-21 at the Gold Dome over the last six seasons with a pair of double-digit win seasons.
Centenary's final home game will be on Saturday, Feb. 14 against the University of the Ozarks at 4 PM and the Gents will finish the regular season on the road at Colorado College (Feb. 20 – 6:30 PM) and the University of St. Thomas (Feb. 22 – NOON).

"We are looking forward to starting the season and our game at Tulane will be a great experience for our team in New Orleans. We have put together a very challenging non-conference schedule, but we feel it will give us great preparation for SCAC play. "
"The team is gelling on and off the floor. We have a good returning core coupled with an exciting recruiting class. The guys have displayed great attitude and effort in the few practices we have had together. If we continue down this path, we will give ourselves a chance to be very competitive in the league."
The Gents were picked to finish ninth in the SCAC Preseason Men's Basketball Poll with 45 points. The top six teams in the conference will qualify for the SCAC Men's Basketball Tournament, which will be held February 27 through March 1 and hosted by Hendrix College in Conway, Ark. The winner of that event will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
