Craig Collier Named SCAC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week
CRAIG COLLIER OF CENTENARY COLLEGE, a senior from North Little Rock, Ark., has been named the SCAC Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week for games played from Tuesday, December 9 through Sunday, December 14.

Collier averaged 21.5 PPG as he scored 15 against ETBU and a game-high 28 at Howard Payne in a 1-1 week for the Gents. Collier hit the game-winning shot against ETBU with a 3-pointer with 15 seconds remaining to pull ahead 64-62 and give the team its first win of the season. The senior hit 9-of-15 3-pointers over the week to shoot 60 percent and was perfect from the free throw line.
Other outstanding performances in the SCAC:
Senior Asher Nofziger of Colorado College posted a double-double in an OT loss against No. 17 St. Thomas (Tex.) in the league opener. The Denver native led the Tigers with a season-high 27 points and 10 rebounds. This marked his second double-double of the season as he shot an efficient 71.4 percent from the floor (10-of-14). Senior Teigan Edwards of LeTourneau scored a career-high 27 points with eight assists and five steals in a loss to Hardin-Simmons. He shot 8-of-11 (72.7 percent) from the field with three 3-pointers and added an 8-of-11 effort from the foul line. His five steals were also a career-high. First-year Garrett Rodgers of St. Thomas (Tex.) put together a strong performance off the bench in the Celts' overtime victory at Colorado College, finishing with 17 points while adding six rebounds. Rodgers also added a pair of steals and had just one turnovers in 27 minutes of action.
